I had mixed feelings as I boarded the flight at the Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados.
The Caribbean Star-operated LIAT flight would take just about 30 minutes to Port-of-Spain.
What was behind this feeling of apprehension? I answered myself. You are going to Trinidad.
Even though I knew I would only be in-transit through the Piarco International Airport, just the thought of Trinidad caused my stomach to turn.
Please don't get me wrong. Trinidad is an absolutely wonderful place. The 17 months during which I lived and worked there were 17 good months in more ways than one.
