    Stories should be between 750 and 3,000 words.
  • Story type and themes
    CaribbeanRunnings.com is looking for stories on all topics.
  • Pay
    CaribbeanRunnings.com will pay for all stories published on the site. Our current rate is US$50 per story. Cheques will be mailed within 30 days of publication.
  • Legal Issues
    If your story contains information about other people, you must first obtain permission from those in the story to publish their names. If you can't obtain such permission then you should not use their real names. If we decide to publish your story on the site, you will be asked to sign an agreement electronically that states, among other clauses, that this is your own work, the story is true or fictional, you are liable for the content, and it has not been published previously. The contract applies to stories as well as photographs.
  • Rights
    Contributors to CaribbeanRunnings.com retain the rights to the stories they publish on this site, allowing them to republish these stories elsewhere in the future.
  • Editing
    Stories submitted to CaribbeanRunnings.com will not be edited, except for copy edits to correct spelling and punctuation.
  • Contributors
    We will need your name and address should we publish your story, but you may choose to remain anonymous on the site if you prefer to be published without a byline. If you choose to use your byline, which we encourage, please submit a few short sentences that include: your name, your hometown, where you currently reside, and if you have been published, where.

    All stories posted to CaribbeanRunnings.com will be open to comments by readers, and you can respond to their comments by submitting your own.
  • Quantity
    You may submit as many stories as you like.
